PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a human epithelial cell growth factor(hEGF) at a practical level, to provide a transformed coryneform bacterium used for the method, in more detail, to provide the method for producing human epithelial cell growth factor(hEGF), by which the human epithelial cell growth factor(hEGF) can be produced in a large amount and recovered in a high yield, and to provide the transformed coryneform bacterium used for the method. SOLUTION: This transformed coryneform bacterium holds a gene construction product which contains a fused gene obtained by fusing a gene encoding a domain containing a signal peptide originated from the coryneform bacterium with a gene encoding the hEGF and can express the fused gene in the coryneform bacterium. And the method for producing the hEGF is characterized by recovering the hEGF from a culture product obtained by culturing the transformed coryneform bacterium. |
