DEVICE OR ASSISTING RUNNING ABILITY IMPROVEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for assisting running ability improvement which improves the running ability of athletes efficiently by storing and processing data on many athletes with small manpower and with high precision. SOLUTION: Various kinds of peripheral devices 5 including a measuring means 2 for measuring a lap time from a starting time of an athlete to be tested 1 passing through a plurality of spots in a prescribed course and a light emission control means 4 for allowing light emitting units 5 respectively arranged at a plurality of spots to emit light successively are connected and a computer means 3 for controlling these peripheral devices is provided. Based on the personal data, measured data and the training schedule of each athletes to be tested with running ability (or swimming ability) improvement supporting software incorporated in the computer means, the computer means 3 stores/ processes various kinds of data and controls the peripheral devices to allow the units 5 to successively emit the units 5 like pace making accompanying running (or swimming) of a specific athletes running the prescribed course.
