PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood component collector capable of reducing time required for collection of blood components. SOLUTION: The blood component collector carries out a cycle of a blood component collection process to centrifugally separates blood collected from a blood donor and collect a blood component (plasma) and a blood component return process to return blood in a centrifugal separator. In second and later cycles, in the blood component collection process, first, an apparent hematocrit value Hct4 is obtained, using a blood return velocity (ν) measured in the preceding cycle, and on the basis of the apparent hematocrit value Hct4 , a target hematocrit value Hct0 set in the first cycle, and a target hematocrit value Hct3 set in the preceding cycle, a target hematocrit value Hct1 is obtained (Step S103). On the basis of the target hematocrit value Hct1 , a target quantity of collection is set, and when a first quantity of collection reaches the target quantity of collection, the blood component collection process is ended and the blood component return process is initiated.
