PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper oxide-based dehydrogenation catalyst for cyclohexanol excellent in activity and selectivity. SOLUTION: The catalyst is obtained by adding a minute amount of one kind of noble metal selected from palladium, platinum and ruthenium to a copper oxide-zinc oxide based catalyst or a copper oxide-silicon oxide based catalyst. The catalyst is manufactured by a co-precipitation method or by the combination of a kneading method and spray method. Thereby, the obtained catalyst has high activity and high selectivity and can be used at low temperature compared to a conventional catalyst, and the production of cyclohexanone with high yield is expected.
