PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner, with which the temperature of air exhausted from a circulating motor-driven air blower is surely held for prescribed time. SOLUTION: A sucking port of main body is opened by opening a shutter and cleaning is performed by connecting a hose, an extension pipe and an intake body. A first exhaust hole is opened by an exhaust circulation control valve, one part of air exhausted from a motor-driven air blower 23 is exhausted, the remaining part is circulated and dust is efficiently sucked by generating a negative pressure on the lower surface of the intake body. The overheat of the motor-driven air blower 23 is prevented by a temperature sensor. When cleaning is finished, the shutter is closed, the first exhaust hole is closed by the exhaust circulation control valve, and exhausted air is circulated as hot air by driving the motor-driven air blower. The motor-driven air blower 23 is driven by high rotations and when a temperature to extinguish microbes such as ticks is detected by the temperature sensor, the air blower is controlled into low rotation and maintained for prescribed time. The temperature of exhausted air circulated as hot air can be surely held for prescribed time and the microbes can be surely extinguished. One temperature sensor can perform different kinds of control.
