PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that patterns already built in sewing machines are mistakenly ordered by users in the placement of orders before the editing processing of patterns or charges are imposed on the users for the patterns previously purchased, as noted in the provision of pattern data alone to the side of the sewing machines without the editing processing of the sewing patterns when the provision of the sewing patterns is made to the side of the sewing machines through public communication circuits from servers. SOLUTION: Information on the type of a sewing machine and identifying information for specifying the sewing machine are previously stored into a control unit and a computer of the sewing machine. The server transmits display data for displaying a pattern selection editing screen to the side of the sewing machine and on the side of the sewing machine, patterns are selected viewing the pattern selection editing screen to give a command for editing processings. The server performs editing processings of the embroidering patterns for which an order is placed from the side of the sewing machine based on the command from the side of the sewing machine and transmits display data thereof and pattern data for sewing to the side of the sewing machine. The patterns built in the sewing machine and non-built-in patterns are identified and displayed on a display. The server imposes charges on the user for patterns to be newly purchased among the non-built-in patterns.
