CATALYST FOR SYNTHESIZING UNSATURATED CARBOXYLIC ACID, PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND SYNTHETIC METHOD OF UNSATURATED CARBOXYLIC ACID USING ITS CATALYST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new catalyst formed by extrusion which is utilized suitably for a synthesis of unsaturated carboxylic acid by gaseous phase catalytic oxidation of unsaturated aldehyde, is prepared by extrusion molding of catalyst particles (powder) containing at least molybdenum and vanadium as metallic elements related to the catalytic action with respect to the reaction and is excellent in the activity of catalyst and in the selectivity of translation to the unsaturated carboxylic acid to be aimed. SOLUTION: When the catalytic particles including at least molybdenum and vanadium which are prepared beforehand are formed by extrusion, ceramic is used for at least one part of catalyst flow passage in the extrusion molding step, thereafter, the treatment such as drying and calcination is applied to the articles formed by extrusion and the final catalyst formed by extrusion thus can be obtained.
