PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw-cut container for solid cosmetics or the like which is new in external shape and easy to handle. SOLUTION: This container comprises a container body 1, in a hollow disk shape, having a storing chamber 13 which is, in a non-round shape, provided with a first opening on the upper surface and a second opening in the center of the lower plate, a holding plate member 31 which is interfitted with the storing chamber 13 and suspends a male-screw cylinder 34 from its lower surface, a handle 43 which constitutes, in an enlarged way, a part of a female-screw cylinder 42 into which the male screw cylinder 34 is screwed, a female-screw cylinder member 41 which exposes the part of the handle and make it to come out of a first control window provided on both front and back walls of the container body, and a pivotal lid member 51 which lowers a foot plate 53, from both back and front fringes of a curved top plate 52 which closes the first opening, along the disk-shaped external surfaces on both back and front walls of the container body, until the foot plate 53 becomes mounted on the center, both back and front walls of the container body.
