Chromium complex dyes for polyester and - cellulose triacetate fibres

Dye/printing composns. for textiles comprises a dispersant and a water-insoluble chromium complex dye. The dye is obtained by reaction of a metallisable dye free of acid groups with at least enough of an internal Cr complex (I) with negative ligands to give one Cr-atom in the dyestuff. The dye is suitably of the type:- Anion circled negative (where X's are neutral ligands or a reverse of the bottom portion). (I) is suitably an acetylacetonate.
