METHOD FOR ATTACHING OPTICAL FIBER SENSOR TO TIRE

PURPOSE: A method for attaching an optical fiber sensor to a tire is provided to increase the adhesion force between optical fibers and a tire for preventing the slippage between the tire and the optical fibers for precisely measuring the change of stress of the tire. CONSTITUTION: A method for attaching an optical fiber sensor to a tire includes the steps of coating a first metal layer containing one of chromium, nickel, nickel-chromium, gold, platinum, and titanium to a surface of an optical fiber, doping a second metal layer easily joined with a rubber on the first metal layer, and applying adhesion force between the optical fiber and the rubber in the process of vulcanization.
