PURPOSE: A bumper of vehicles is provided to increase a shock absorbing effect by providing a cylinder and a lever between a bumper cover and a bumper beam in order to move rapidly a bumper cover when the vehicle collides with the vehicle or a walker. CONSTITUTION: A bumper for a vehicle comprises a cylinder(10), an air valve(20), and a valve opening unit(30). The cylinder is provided between a bumper cover(1) and a bumper beam(2), and a piston(11) is installed at an inside thereof. The cylinder is connected to a heater valve tank(3) and a surge tank(4) to maintain the inside thereof in a vacuum state. The air valve is provided to one side of the cylinder and performs a function for blocking selectively a communication of the inside of the cylinder with atmosphere. The valve opening unit is provided to open the air valve when the vehicle collides with the vehicle or the walker, and to move the bumper cover depending to the movement of the piston by introducing outer air into the inside of the cylinder.
