PURPOSE: A method for determining a position of a sound source is provided, which has a high economical efficiency with a simple system determining the position of the sound source, by determining the position of the sound source using more than two incident angle determination systems of the sound source of a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: According to the method, X, Y, Z axis of the first incident angle determination system(31) and the second incident angle determination system(32) are located in parallel each other at a different point(A, B). An upper limit for a sound of a sound source(S) to be incident to the first and the second incident angle determination system is determined, and three projected incident angles formed by the sound source projected onto three planes forming the upper limit and X, Y, Z axis. A coordinate(x,y,o) of a projected sound source(Sxy) projected onto an XY plane is determined by receiving coordinates of the first and the second incident angle determination system and three projected incident angles. An angle(theta 1z) for the sound source(S) to be incident to the first incident angle determination system is obtained by a relation between the coordinate(x,y,o) of the projected sound source(Sxy) and projected incident angles(theta lyz, theta lxz), and a z coordinate of the sound source(S) is obtained from a distance between tan(theta lz) and the projected sound source(Sxy).
