PURPOSE: A backlight assembly is provided to minimize the length of a conductor film for electrically connecting a liquid crystal display panel to a printed circuit board, thereby reducing the fabrication cost of the backlight assembly. CONSTITUTION: A backlight assembly includes a lamp unit for generating light, a light guide unit(720) mounted with the lamp unit at a side wall and guiding the light from the lamp unit, a receiving container(800) for receiving the lamp unit and the light guide unit, and a display unit received in the receiving container facing the light guide unit to be overlapped with the lamp unit at an end and displaying images in response to the light guided by the light guide unit, a printed circuit board(620) formed with a driving control circuit for controlling the driving of the display unit, and a conductive film(630) for connecting the printed circuit board to the display unit electrically. |
