PURPOSE: An apparatus for identifying counterfeit dollars by using a magnet is provided to identify the counterfeit dollars from magnetic materials contained in the dollars without a separate power source or battery. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for identifying counterfeit dollars comprises an upper body(10) and a lower body coupled with each other by using an angle adjustable hinge, the upper body and the lower body being formed with grooves, and an attachment plate(30) being embedded in the upper body. The attachment plate is formed with an insertion groove(32), so that a magnet(36) surrounded with a protective cap(34) can be inserted into the insertion groove.
