摘要 <p>Prepreg bands are first rolled onto the mandrel. They are deaerated and consolidated uniformly. This is achieved by consecutive spiral wrapping with a thermoplastic band under tension. The band, of thermoplastic cloth, is wrapped under pretension. The mandrel is heated steadily during wrapping, its temperature being about 60 deg -70 deg . Following the prepreg layers an external envelope is added. This comprises is at least one layer of non-impregnated carbon fiber, followed by a layer of prepreg cloth /-/ glass fibers. Finally, an auxiliary air extraction cloth is added (this prolongs air removal and compression).</p>
