PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stream broadcast relay method and system that can efficiently distribute stream broadcast data independently of the number of reception points of the stream broadcast data. SOLUTION: The stream broadcast relay method and system are characterized in that the method and system includes a stream separation repeater 6 that broadcasts a data packet in a stream packet configuring the stream broadcast data to a plurality of stream reconfiguration repeaters 7 through a single multicast transfer connection via a communication satellite 3 and transfers individually a control packet in the stream packet to the corresponding stream reconfiguration repeaters 7 through a plurality of distribution state management unicast connections via the Internet 5 and includes the stream reconfiguration repeaters 7 that reconfigure the data packet and the control packet transferred from the stream separation repeater 6 into a single stream packet for the unicast distribution connection and transmit the reconfigured packet to client terminals 2 according to a prescribed unicast protocol.
