PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color cathode-ray tube device which is capable of improving the deterioration of focusing characteristics caused when making its faceplate flatter or length shorter. SOLUTION: In this color cathode-ray tube device, a deflection yoke 12 has a pair of horizontal deflection coils 25 composed of a main coil portion 33 arranged along the axis of a color cathode-ray tube 11, a flange portion 27 arranged at the phosphor screen side of the main coil portion 33 and a bend-less type flange portion 32 arranged at the neck side. Here the maximum coil thickness of the neck side flange portion 32 is made to be larger than that of the main coil portion 33 at the part adjacent to the neck side flange portion 32.
