The impact absorbing device (10,20) comprises a deformable casing which passes from an initial state to a compressed state at the time of an impact. The casing contains a fluid and is made in a fluid tight material. The casing has a fluid evacuation mouth such that the impact energy is partially absorbed by plastic deformation of the casing and by moving the fluid from the inside to the outside of the casing through the mouth.
