PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium, in which information is recorded as a hologram, in which the time required for recording is short, and in which diffraction efficiency is large. SOLUTION: The hologram recording medium includes a recording layer, which has a charge generating agent generating a charge by irradiation with visible light, a charge transfer agent transferring the charge, a non-linear optical material, and a trap agent holding the charge, and on which information is recorded by forming interference fringes by the irradiation of the visible light. It is characterized that the trap agent holding the charge consists of molecules whose charge transferring characteristic is modulated by absorption of the visible light, and that a mean free path of the charge in the hologram medium is increased by the irritation with the visible light. |
