PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte and a lithium secondary battery containing the same. SOLUTION: The polymer electrolyte is produced by polymerizing a composition comprising (a) 0.1-90 mass% of a compound represented by the following chemical formula 1, a compound represented by the following chemical formula 2 or a mixture thereof, (b) 0.1-90 mass% of a compound represented by the following chemical formula 3, and (c) 9.8-99.8 mass% of a nonaqueous organic solvent containing 0.5-2.0 mole/liter of a lithium salt.
