PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device that monitors multiple signals to monitor wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) transmission systems or the like. SOLUTION: The method for monitoring multiple signals in one embodiment of this invention includes a step (a) of initializing an active mask including an operating window (45) defined by a minimum frequency (58), a maximum frequency (59), a minimum amplitude (55) and a maximum amplitude (54), and a step (b) of monitoring each signal to determine whether or not the signal strays outside the operating window, and the step (b) includes a sub step (b.1) of generating an alarm when the signal strays outside the operating window. |
