PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication unit that can reduce a GT(Guard Time) more than that of a conventional technology, that is, can realize the enhanced transmission efficiency. SOLUTION: The radio communication unit of this invention is configured of a demodulation section 2 and a decode section 3 that extract a transmission power in a base station from control information of an output of a base station, an RSSI/RSCP measurement section 4 that measures a mean value of reception levels of a base station transmission wave, a propagation time calculation section 5 that calculates an attenuation by subtracting the mean value of the reception levels from the transmission power, calculates the transmission distance from the base station uniquely on the basis of the attenuation, and finally calculates the propagation delay time from the transmission distance, and a timing control section 6 that estimates the transmission timing of data sent to the base station on the basis of the reception timing of the base station transmission wave and the propagation delay time.
