PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which a light transmitting member or a light guide plate is not damaged even when the light transmitting member is pressed by external force to bend, and moreover, the display quality of the display element can be highly maintained. SOLUTION: The display device 2 has a plate type display element (e.g. a liquid crystal display panel) 8, a light guide plate 6 disposed in front of the display element 8, and a light transmitting member (e.g. a touch panel) 4 disposed in front of the light guide plate 6, and all are supported by a casing 10. While the light transmitting member 4, the light guide plate 6 and the display element 8 are supported by the casing 10, the light guide plate 6 is controlled to be more easily bent than the light transmitting member 4 and the display element is controlled to be more easily bent than the light guide plate 6. Therefore, when the light transmitting member 4 is externally pressed and bent, the light guide plate 6 and the display element 8 are free from local pressing force. |
