PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera for exhibiting the expected color balance of a captured image to a viewer visually adaptive to an ambient light. SOLUTION: This camera can capture the image of a scene illuminated by the ambient light while using an archive capturing medium balanced to a designated illuminant. That camera is composed of a main body, electronic imager disposed in that main body for capturing the ambient light image as a multicolored electronic image, a color detector for measuring the electronic image and providing a color value thereto, a white balance control circuit for determining a white balance color space vector defining a white balancing of the electronic image from the color value to a white point for the designated illuminant, a reversal circuit for determining a reverse color space vector extending opposite the white balance color space vector from the color value, a color balance adjusting circuit connected to the electronic imager, and an image display disposed outside the main body. |
