PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation map providing system which enables full recognition of overall atmosphere of a place to visit such as streets lined with houses and shops or state of traffic, etc. SOLUTION: A request acquiring section 28 acquires the display position and visiting conditions of a user 12a. A retrieval section 30 retrieves a three- dimensional stereographic image corresponding to the acquired display position from a three-dimensional image database 22 and also retrieves, based on the visiting conditions, real atmosphere information to be superposed on the retrieved three-dimensional stereographic image from an atmosphere information database 24. A synthesizing section 34 superposes the real atmosphere information on the acquired three-dimensional stereographic image and, based on the visiting conditions, synthesizes a simulation map on which the information required by a visitor is obviously shown, then provides the map to the user 12a via a providing means section 36. Thus, the user 12a can easily and accurately recognize the street lined with houses and shops or surrounding environment of the display position based on the simulation map provided with the real atmosphere information.
