PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the prompt confirmation of the contents of an electronic mail or data file delivered to a user to perform a rapid information exchange in a portable terminal with communication function and a data automatic delivery system. SOLUTION: When a message receiving part 105 receives an arrival message for reporting the presence of a newly arrived file (or electronic mail), a control part 10 analyzes the newly arrived message to obtain identification information for specifying the file (or electronic mail) and the telephone number of a host computer. After a line connection with the host computer is performed through a cellular phone transmit-receive part 107, the control part transmits the order request command of the file (or electronic mail) to automatically acquire the file (or electronic mail) from the host computer, and presents it to the user by use of a display part 102.
