PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eddy current speed reducer, which is highly reliable against vibration or impact and is inexpensive. SOLUTION: A plurality of electromagnet-composed bodies 20 integrally comprising a core 21 and magnetic poles 22a, 22b are arranged apart with even spacing along the inner circumference of a brake drum 12 to face the inner circumference surface, the brake drum liked to a rotating shaft 11. The electromagnet-composed bodies 20 are supported by magnetic supporting members 23a, 23b arranged inside the brake drum 12 in a sandwiched manner, wherein at least the magnetic support member 23a is made of steel or cast iron.
