HIGH PRESSURE DISCHARGE LAMP, ITS PRODUCTION METHOD AND ITS LIGHTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure discharge lamp, its production method and its lighting system to realize longer operation life as well as to improve luminous flux maintenance factor. SOLUTION: A translucent discharge container 1 equipped with a first and a second reduced pressure sealing parts 1b and 1c at both sides, a pair electrode 2 and 2 in which a rear anchor connects with an attached metal foil 3 in the first and the second reduced pressure sealing parts 1b and 1c and is equipped in the translucent discharge container 1 and a discharge medium which includes mercury and noble gas being at least 15 MPa or more in mercury vapor pressure when a light is switched on and halide or halogen being 8 or more in halogen density (g/m<3> ) per unit capacity of the translucent discharge container and which doesn't include alkali metal or alkali metal halide to an influenced extent for emission spectrum in the range from 580 to 780 nm in wave length, are provided in the invention.
