PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dummy body for an automatic vending machine having a locking part molded by vacuum formation or pressure formation, and firmly fittable and holdable in a peripheral edge part of a dummy body installing hole. SOLUTION: This dummy body 2 for the automatic vending machine has on the lower side the recessed groove-shaped locking part 20 engaged with the peripheral edge part M of the dummy body installing hole 23 formed in a stage 4 of an exhibition room. Projections 21 and 22 are arranged on an upper surface A and/or an under surface B of the locking part 20. These projections 21 and 22 are constituted so as to strengthen engagement by abutting to the peripheral edge part M of the dummy body installing hole 23.
