PURPOSE: Provided is a process for preparing cephalosporin derivative of the formula(1), which is a kind of cefoperazone derivatives, in high purity and yield. CONSTITUTION: (7-(2-(4-ethyl-2,3-dioxopiperazine-1-carbonyl)amino)-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acethylamino-3((4-methyl-5-thioxo-4,5-dihydro-tetrazol-1-yl)methyl)-8-oxo-5-thia-1-aza-bicyclo(4.2.0)oct-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid) is represented by the formula(1) and manufactured by using 7-aminocephalosporanic acid as a starting compound.
