METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY DETECTING ANCHOR SHOT IN NEWS VIDEO BROWSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for automatically detecting an anchor shot in a news video browsing system is provided to divide news video by the article units on the basis of the anchor shots for realizing the news article-based browsing effectively. CONSTITUTION: A method for automatically detecting an anchor shot in a news video browsing system includes the steps of extracting a candidate of an anchor shot for detecting the anchor shot in a news video divided by shot unit, clustering the extracted anchor candidate shots for binding together by similarity, and selecting clusters of the anchor shots among the clusters in which the similar shots are bound for determining the anchor shot.
