PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize information management for reutilizing a consumable item unit, especially the image forming unit of an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: Information related with the residual capabilities of a consumable item unit, especially an image forming unit 2 is read by a reading device 101 for reutilizing the image forming unit, and the validity/invalidity of the reutilization of the image forming unit 2 is judged form information related with the residual capabilities by a terminal 102, and when it is judged that the image forming unit 2 is reusable, the residual usage (residual life) is judged, and the residual usage information is stored together with the ID information of the consumable unit in a database 103. Then, the image forming unit equipped with the residual usage suitable for the scheduled usage necessary for the image forming apparatus main body is retrieved from terminals 102, 102a, and 102b connected through a network 104. |
