PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device in which an abundance of the number of display pixels per unit area is made compatible with a high aperture ratio, and to provide an electronic equipment provided with the liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: A part of pixel transistors to be controlled by the same scanning line is selectively made to operate on-off by the scanning line voltage, so that a plurality of pixel electrodes can be selected by the same scanning line and the same data line. Thus, the data lines or the scanning lines can be decreased in number, and the aperture ratio can be increased.
