PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a horn part possess minimum diameter and length, to generate a symmetrical horn pattern, having a substantially fixed phase center over a large band width, and to maintain the symmetrical pattern over a large gain range (from 6 to 18 dbi). SOLUTION: A feeding horn assembly 10 has a long horn part 12 which has an end opening 14 and generally has a cylindrical metallic inner surface and a long dielectric rod part 22, which is substantially arranged in the center of the horn part and has a long tapered end part 26 which extends in the opening direction of the horn part. The feeding horn of the same type, which has the cylindrical metallic part, is removed to leave the taper-like dielectric rod, and therefore small blockage is given. |
