PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the oscillation and output of an integrated type variable wavelength laser. SOLUTION: Polarized excitation light is generated, and a laser chip 3 composed by making an organic pigment or the like into a thin film on a substrate and a mirror 4 are arranged to the excitation light so that a part of the excitation light projected to the laser chip 3, and the remaining part of the exciting light projected to the mirror 4 and reflected from the mirror 4 to the laser chip 3 interfering with a part of the exciting light on the laser chip 3 generate laser oscillation. The remaining part of the excitation light is projected to the mirror 4, while making the polarization direction of the exciting light parallel to a mirror surface, and thus laser beam output from the laser chip 3 is stabilized.
