PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver for preventing a state where download software, etc., on digital broadcasting wave is missed to be fetched as much as possible. SOLUTION: The digital broadcasting receiver 30 is constituted so as to receive digital broadcasting wave, demodulating it and downloading software and/or data. When a download performing date previously set by a user comes, a power source control circuit 23 performs energizing to a circuit which is required for a download processing. A CPU 13 starts an operation by energizing and, then, performs control to the respective circuits for downloading. The user recognizes the download performing date by receiving a postcard, etc., from a maker.
