PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for plotting a pattern thick line capable of suppressing the lowering of a plotting speed even when a complicated pattern bold line having a pattern also in a normal direction as in a railroad line is plotted on a display screen. SOLUTION: This pattern bold line plotting device comprises a start point-end point input part 1 for inputting the start point coordinate and end point coordinate of line segments, an inclination calculation part 2 for calculating the inclination of the line segments from the start point coordinate and an end point coordinate, a plotting coordinate calculation part 3 for calculating the plotting coordinate of the line segment from the inclination of the line segment, a pattern data input part 5 for inputting the pattern data on the pattern thick line in the forward direction and the normal direction of the line segment, a two-dimensional pattern generating part 6 for generating the two-dimensional pattern data from the pattern data, and a pattern bold line plotting part 4 for plotting the pattern bold line on the plotting coordinate, while referring to the two-dimensional pattern data. |
