PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a database from collected various types of multimedia information by automatically arranging, editing, extracting, and correlating the information. SOLUTION: A multimedia information collection and management device is provided with a multimedia information collection means 1 to collect information of various types of media, a multimedia corresponding storage means 2 to make various types of media information collected with this multimedia information collection means correspond with what the information having necessary relationship if any and store in the above multimedia corresponding storage means, an information recognition and analysis means 3 to extract, recognize, and analyze the information stored while being made correspond to this multimedia corresponding storage means and to identify an individual who is related with the extracted information, and a multimedia database 11 to store the information analyzed by the information recognition and analysis means making it correspond to the stored information in the above multimedia corresponding storage means.
