<p>PURPOSE: A construction method of a tiled emissive display is provided to secure the continuity in the light emitting property and the distance between pixels. CONSTITUTION: A method of producing a tiled emissive display with at least two aligned tiles includes steps of finishing at least one edge of each tile and aligning the finished edges of such tiles, and forming a monolithic structure(20) including aligned tiles. Each aligned tile employs a substrate, TFT circuits, drive circuits and bottom pixel electrodes(104,304) for providing electrical signals to pixels in the corresponding tile. The method also includes coating the aligned tiles with material that produces light when activated by an electric field and forming one or more top pixel electrodes(106,306) over the coated material so that the coated material produces light when activated by an electric field from the electrode.</p> |
