PURPOSE: A mask support for a CRT tube is provided to simplify manufacturing processes by eliminating the grinding process performed for maintaining the height of mask support uniform. CONSTITUTION: A flat color cathode ray tube comprises a panel(10) having an inner surface on which a phosphor screen(11) is formed; a funnel attached to the rear of the panel, and which has a neck where an electron gun is mounted; a shadow mask having a plurality of electron beam passing holes, and which is disposed to the phosphor screen formed at the inner surface of the panel such that a predetermined spacing is formed between the shadow mask and the phosphor screen; and a mask support fixed to the panel, and which supports the shadow mask. The mask support includes a first mask support(31) having a uniform height, and a second mask support(32) having a groove(32a) for insertion of the first mask support. The first mask support is positioned to correspond to the groove formed at the second mask support, and the second mask support is pressed by a press(P), to thereby press fit the first mask support to the groove formed at the second mask support.
