摘要 PURPOSE: A multi-layered spectacle lens for shielding ultraviolet rays is provided to shield ultraviolet rays of a short wavelength or increase transmissivity of visible rays band by depositing a multi-layered dielectric on a concave surface and a convex surface of a spectacle lens. CONSTITUTION: A hard layer having thickness of 2 micro meter is coated on a concave surface and a convex surface of a refractive plastic lens which an ultraviolet ray absorbent is not added, by using a dip coating method. The hard layer has a refractive index of 1.5504 and the refractive plastic lens has the refractive index of 1.5504. A lens substrate is loaded into a vacuum chamber. A vacuum pressure of the vacuum chamber is decompressed to a vacuum state of 3.0x10¬-5 Torr by using a vacuum pump. A deposition process is performed by accelerating an electron beam. A dielectric of SiO2 having the low refractive index of 1.46 and a dielectric of ZrO2 having the high refractive index of 2.06 are deposited on the concave surface and the convex surface of the refractive plastic lens.
