PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance power generation efficiency by reducing the consumption amount of fuel for producing steam required for fuel reforming. SOLUTION: During the operation of a fuel cell power generation system 1, power is generated by reacting hydrogen in a hydrogen-rich gas produced and fed by a fuel reforming device 2 with oxygen in the air in a solid polymer solid electrode of a cell stack 3. A gaseous hydrocarbon fuel material of an reforming object by the reforming device 2 is humidified by a steam adding unit 7 by using exhaust heat generated by the cell stack 3 at the same time in conjunction with power generation and thus, the exhaust heat of the cell stack 3 not conventionally used for reforming is effectively utilized for the reform, so that the fuel consumption amount is reduced by the portion of the effectively utilized exhaust heat and the power generation efficiency can be enhanced. |
