摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode catalyst layer for a fuel cell capable of rapidly diffusing reaction gas molecules to a catalyst metal while disposing a polymer electrolyte in the vicinity of the catalyst. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, after molecules of formaldehyde or the like is adsorbed by a noble metal catalyst, the electrode catalyst layer is formed of ink containing the polymer electrolyte and the noble metal catalyst, and thereafter the molecules adsorbed by the noble metal are removed. The electrode catalyst layer having an improved gas diffusing property and exerting an excellent characteristic can be provided by the method.
