<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for safely initializing a code in a computer. SOLUTION: A memory controller 106 prevents a CPU and other I/O bus master from accessing a memory 110 during a code (for example, a trusted core) initialization process. The memory controller 106 resets the CPU in the computer, and allows the CPU to start accessing at a specified place (recognized by the memory controller with respect to the CPU) in the memory. After executing the initialization process by the CPU, the code is in an active state, any other CPU (after resetting) can access the memory, and other bus master (capable of receiving any controls by the started code) can access the memory 110.</p> |
