PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an aluminum case for an electronic device in which a boss and/or a rib can be joined to the aluminum case firmly and efficiently. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing an aluminum case 1 in which the boss and/or the rib are joined to the case 1, low-melting-point metal layers 5 and 6 are provided in advance on the joining parts of the case 1, a boss 2 and/or a rib, and the layers 5 and 6 are overlapped and are heat-melting joined or friction-joined by rubbing each other. Accordingly, the prescribed junction strength can be obtained without a post-processing and without damaging a design. The layers 5 and 6 are provided by using ultrasonic vibration or brushing, thereby removing an oxide film on the junction parts to improve adhesive properties of the layers 5 and 6. |
