PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve random accessibility without using a tape type storage medium that can store a large capacity of information signals. SOLUTION: The tape type storage medium 3 wound around a tape reel 2 and a disc drive 4 wherein a hard disc is fit are contained in an outer box body 1. The body 1 comprises an opening for outward drawing the medium 3 and an interface 11 for exchanging the information signals between the drive 4 and outside equipment.
