PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of flexibly displaying required information on a screen in the case of displaying a data broadcasting picture broadcasted by a highly precise mode on a display of standard resolution. SOLUTION: A main memory 22 receives data for a display screen corresponding to precise data broadcasting from a reception means and stores it. An OSD processing part 18 extracts data equivalent to the display screen of standard resolution among the data stored in the memory 22 in response to an instruction from a user and stores it in a display memory 24. Data stored in the memory 24 is displayed on a display 30 by a CRT deflection circuit 32 so as to avoid over scanning.
