PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a playing method of chords in a prescribed musical instrument on display means by a simple operation. SOLUTION: The chords are displayed on the display means according to the playing progression of a musical piece. A user can select any of the chords displayed on the display means by chord selecting means. When the chord selection is carried out by the chord selecting means, display control means reads the playing method of the chords corresponding to the selected chords out of playing method memory means and displays the playing method of the read out chords out of the playing method memory means and display the playing method of the read out chords in the prescribed display form on the display means. As a result, the user is made able to acquire the playing method of the chords in the prescribed musical instrument required by the user simply by carrying out the simple operation of selecting the chords display on the display means.
