PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single sided multilayer optical recording medium wherein the recording film of a light incident side has sufficient thickness and optical transmittance, and an optical recording device capable of recording information in such an optical recording medium. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 1 is of a single-sided multilayer type, and provided with a substrate 2, a first thin film recording section 3a provided with a first recording film 32a including a recording area 32a1 for reversibly changing an optical constant by using a light and a transparent area 32a2 transparent to the light, and a second thin film recording section 3b provided with a second recording film 32b including a second recording area for reversibly changing an optical constant by using the light. The first and second thin film recording sections 3a and 3b are disposed in this order on one main surface of the substrate 2 from the light incident side. |
