PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke which is capable of reducing power consumption, a manufacturing cost and heat generation. SOLUTION: In this deflection yoke, a vacuum envelope has a yoke mounting portion shaped in nearly rectangular-cone-like, and a deflection yoke mounted on the yoke mounting portion is formed symmetrically to the central axis and having a pair of saddle type horizontal deflection coils 30a, 30b shaped in nearly rectangular-cone-like, and then a separator 33 is fixed on the outside of the horizontal coils and a cone-like magnetic core is fixed coaxially to the central axis on the outside of the separator, further a pair of vertical deflection coils are wound around the magnetic core in toroidal winging, in addition the separator is shaped like a nearly rectangular-cone in the portion facing the horizontal deflection coils and has a pair of protrudes 40a, 40b on its outer surface, furthermore the protrudes have contact parts for contacting with the magnetic core and then positioning it, besides the contact parts are positioned on a same circle about the central axis.
